Welcome to our latest news highlighting what’s happening at Westpro as we near the end of the year. With the milk season in full swing, it’s a busy time for our supplier farmers as well as for those working in our processing and distribution operations. Early season milk production is up, and as a sponsor of the West Coast/Top of the South Dairy Awards, it’s also time to celebrate success with entries open now. Another positive this season is that we have increased supply of Westpro skim milk powder by producing this at our sister plant, Oceania Dairy Limited in South Canterbury.

Westpro NutriSein Casein – the journey from cow to bag
We’ve made a video to show what we do with the milk produced from grass-fed cows on the West Coast of the South Island and how it ends up as a high quality, natural product which is sought after in international markets. In the video we focus on the journey from the cow to bag for our Westpro NutriSein Casein product. Our caseins provide valuable nutritional benefits due to their high protein and amino acid levels. Protein-rich diets are perceived to offer various health benefits including supporting muscle health and mobility, managing weight and satisfying hunger. The consumer shift to protein-rich foods has opened opportunities for Westpro’s range of proteins, including NutriSein Casein.
